SYNOPSIS
Every year, in the last week of October between Saturday and Sunday, time shifts from summertime to wintertime, the anteroom of the winter season. Before turning the clocks back one hour and feeling the approaching darkness, somebody decides to leave and celebrate the memory of that day.
DIRECTOR’S NOTES AND CONTEXT OF PRODUCTION
A project written for the first time in 2004, Before Time Shifts is a personal attempt to investigate the concept of time through the variation in the hours of daylight. Just one roll of Super 8mm film, used at different shooting speeds, illustrates the majestic stride of day through the impression of light and the spectre of darkness.
